Operational implementation of Paris Agreement Article 6.2 (country-to-country transfers) and 6.4 (UN-supervised crediting mechanism under the Supervisory Body).
Why this recipient benefits: WG endorsement of per-tonne evidentiary disclosure as a shared 6.2-and-6.4 implementation property reduces bilateral-recognition friction. Kizzier's ICVCM co-chair role links the WG position to the Core Carbon Principles in a directly operational way. Sinha's World Bank infrastructure means SCALE-fund-compatible implementation.
Why now: WG work programme 2025-2026 term.
The ask: WG technical note. Proof-pack schema as Article 6 interoperability property; SCALE-fund integration analysis.
Operational implementation of Paris Agreement Article 6.2 (country-to-country transfers) and 6.4 (UN-supervised crediting mechanism under the Supervisory Body).
IETA Article 6 WG recognition that per-tonne evidentiary disclosure is a shared implementation property across Article 6.2 and 6.4 transfers, reducing bilateral recognition friction.
WG-endorsed technical note on proof-pack-equivalent disclosure as an Article 6 interoperability property.
IETA is the business voice of the emissions-trading industry. IETA working-group endorsement of per-tonne evidentiary disclosure translates immediately into uptake by member companies — traders, project developers, verification firms, and corporate offtake buyers. The ~300 IETA members are also the actors who will price proof-pack-equipped credits once they exist.
The three org-level IETA documents — the Integration Whitepaper, Partnership Proposal, and Technology Alignment Analysis — should be presented at the relevant working group rather than at the board level first. Working-group-level engagement is where the technical acceptance happens; board-level engagement is where the organisational endorsement follows.
